Tour del Gran Sasso
Challenging route, especially for its length. To be preferred in the summer months, given the odds achieved. We leave early in the morning, after a nice breakfast, from Villa dei Priori. Along the Salaria, and then minor roads, you arrive at the village of Monreale. From here we will head towards the spectacular plain of Cagnano Amiterno, a place truly impressive and unknown to most people. Continue towards L’Aquila and we will begin the ascent towards the Gran Sasso from a particular secondary road, little known, highly spectacular. Once arrived on the Campo Imperatore plateau, we will descend towards the suggestive village of S. Stefano di Sessanio, we will cross the village of Rocca Calascio (that together with Castel del Monte it has been the set of numerous films such as Trinità, Lady Hawck, Amerikano, So is life ...) and then return to altitude again at Campo Imperatore. We will descend towards the west side of the Gran Sasso and along one spectacular road that runs along in full, before reaching the pass of the Capannelle, towards Teramo, we will have the opportunity to visit the little one Church (... but for its importance is a Basilica ...) where it retired in prayer John Paul II. Continue to Teramo along a beautiful road in the woods to arrive, late at night, at Villa dei Priori See the route map here. The offer includes: Two nights accommodation with breakfast, one dinner for two people, tour guide by Marcello Priori.Garage for motorcycle storage. The cost is 185, or € for two people. To book fill out the form specifying "Tour of the Gran Sasso"* For this tour is available, for those who prefer to do it independently, the track to insert in your browser.* Lunch is excluded and will take place in typical Gran Sasso premises they will be identified together the night before in front of a good glass of wine.
